Monday Psalms, Psalm 73 (72)

Reflections from the Pew

Whom have I in heaven but You? And there is nothing upon earth that I desire besides You. My flesh and my heart may fail, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

God is my everlasting strength, whose mighty hand plants me as a tree by the stream. There is no other.

To hear Him bid me to listen to you
To see your glory from the heavens

Lord, it is well that I am here
To have you bring me to the mountaintop
To have you guide me back down again

Lord, it is well that I am here
To walk along your path to Calvary
To see the depth of your love for me

Lord, it is well that I am here
To know your death offers me eternal life
To know your will is for me to ascend with you anew

Lord, it is well that I am here
To be transfigured by your love and clothed…
